how we do it
Our quality process involves the following steps:
:: ASSESSMENT | analysis of the project (purpose, language, technical requirements) and selection of the team (project manager, translator and proof-reader).
:: PREPARATION | preparation of the documents to be translated, possible compilation of a translation memory, glossary and reference materials.
:: TRANSLATION | translation of the documents by a qualified native translator with proven experience.
:: PROOFREADING | proofreading of the translated documents by a second qualified linguist, taking into account aspects such as spelling, terminology, uniformity, style, etc.
:: COMPLETION | delivery to the client by the method arranged, followed by possible feedback from the client and updating of translation memories and glossaries.
Escritos & Ditos is equipped with modern translation memory software, that enables it to automatically perform a general analysis of texts (when they are sent in editable format), thus avoiding the inclusion of repeated text in quotations. The text then remains in our translation memory, which means that repetitions can be immediately identified in the future, also ensuring the uniformity of the terminology used. This is also achieved by using specific glossaries drawn up for each client.
